FAQ

1.What is Sodium Lactate?

Sodium lactate is a chemical substance, colorless or almost colorless transparent liquid, can be dissolved with water, ethanol, glycerol. It is used in food preservation, moisturizing, aroma and pharmaceutical raw materials, and also used as medicine to relieve acidosis due to diarrhea and dehydration, diabetes, nephritis and other conditions of Kosen. Also used as seasoning, casein plastic plasticizer, antifreeze, humectant, glycerin substitute, alcohol antifreeze corrosion inhibitor. Sodium lactate is colorless or slightly yellow transparent syrupy liquid with strong water absorption capacity. Odorless or slightly special odor, slightly salty and bitter taste. Miscible in water, ethanol and glycerol. The general concentration is 60%~80%.

2.How is Sodium Lactate produced?

1)Neutralization reaction with lactic acid and sodium hydroxide, decolorized by activated D carbon, and then pumped and filtered by fine adjustment of PH value, that is, the finished product of sodium lactate.2)Adopt medicinal dilute lactic acid plus sodium hydroxide (or sodium carbonate) solution neutralization, decolorization, filtration that is to obtain the sodium lactate.3)In the lactic acid add sodium hydroxide to carry on the neutralization, put in the vacuum concentration of 50 ℃ or less, after removing 80% of the water, and then neutralize it with sodium hydroxide, and then Diluted to a concentration of 50-60%. 4) Dissolve sodium carbonate (or sodium hydroxide) in water, add to lactic acid, add activated carbon decolorization, filtration, concentration to 25Be′, get sodium lactate.

3.How is Sodium Lactate stored and distributed?

1. Food grade should be transported and stored according to food hygiene requirements. Avoid mixing and transporting, and load and unload lightly when handling to prevent damage to the package. 2. Precautions for safe operation: In places where dust is generated, provide suitable exhaust equipment. General fire protection measures. 3. Storage conditions:Keep sealed and keep away from light Temperature conditions:Room temperature 4. Moisture-proofing:To avoid the bag from breaking, to avoid its moisture and rain, so as to ensure that its properties will not change. To avoid unnecessary losses. 5. Anti-temperature: when under the influence of high temperature, performance, properties will be more or less affected, therefore, in the storage must avoid high temperature. 6. Fire prevention: When storing, pay special attention to fire prevention.

4.What is Sodium Lactate used for?

As a food preservative, flavoring agent, antifreezing agent, humectant, etc., sodium lactate has been used in food industry as a preservative to partially replace sodium benzoate in foreign countries. Sodium lactate has incomparable advantages over sodium benzoate, sodium citrate and sodium sorbate. Especially in meat products, it has the following significant effects: 1, extend shelf life: it can be extended by 30% to 100%, or even longer; 2, inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria in food, such as HT E. coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium botulinum, etc., so as to increase the safety of food; 3, enhance the flavor of the meat with the preservation of the flavor of the meat; 4, as a kind of salt not only reduce the dosage of sodium chloride, at the same time, sodium lactate is not only good for people with heart disease and high blood pressure, but also for people with low salt and high blood pressure, so that it is good for the food industry. As a kind of salt, it not only can reduce the amount of sodium chloride, but also sodium lactate is more safe for low-salt heart disease patients, high blood pressure patients and kidney patients.
