1.What is Phosphoric Acid?

Food grade phosphoric acid pure is colorless transparent viscous liquid or rhombohedral crystals, odorless, very acidic taste; soluble in water, soluble in ethanol. Its acidity is weaker than sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid and other strong acids, but stronger than acetic acid, boric acid and other weak acids. It is more used in the market as 85% content of phosphoric acid. Food grade phosphoric acid use: 1, phosphoric acid is one of the food additives, in food as acidulant, yeast nutrient and preparation of food grade phosphates, etc., can replace citric acid, malic acid. 2, As a disinfectant for dairy products and brewing industry, such as brewing can be used as a source of yeast nutrients to prevent the propagation of stray bacteria.

2.How is Phosphoric Acid produced?

Food grade phosphoric acid is in great demand domestically and internationally, but the preparation method has been in a relatively backward state. Food grade phosphoric acid is generally prepared from thermal phosphoric acid or wet phosphoric acid. Thermal phosphoric acid adopts a two-step process, i.e., first produce yellow phosphorus by electric furnace, and then oxidize and hydrate the yellow phosphorus in phosphoric acid device to produce finished phosphoric acid. Thermal phosphoric acid has high energy consumption and high comprehensive cost, so this method is less used. Typical wet phosphoric acid is used to decompose phosphate ore with sulfuric acid, and the resulting phosphoric acid slurry is separated into solid-liquid to obtain phosphoric acid and calcium sulfate.

3.How is Phosphoric Acid stored and distributed?

Store under dry inert gas, keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place Packed in galvanized iron drums. Store in a cool, ventilated place. The storage should be dedicated and not mixed with other items. Pay attention to fire prevention. Polymerization inhibitor should be added before storage and transportation. Before transportation, check whether the packing container is complete and sealed, and make sure the container is not leaking, collapsing, falling or damaged during transportation. Strictly prohibit mixing and transporting with oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, edible chemicals and so on. The transport vehicle and ship must be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized, otherwise it is not allowed to ship other items. When transported by ship, the fitting position should be far away from bedrooms, kitchens, and isolated from the cabin, power supply, fire source and other parts. Road transportation should follow the prescribed route.
